The reality in the world today is, we are choosing to die before we have even lived.
When was the last time you really focused on the now? Not on the end of the month, end of the year, or further on to when you are classed as old?

We get told as youngsters "listen to your elders" and at most we ignore that statement, but the smart ones let it sink in because age brings wisdom.
Luckily, over the last 12 months we have spoken to many men and women that you could class as 'elderly' and learnt from their wins, fails and tails.
What we discovered, and what was common between them all, was that they kept everything simple.
They lived for today, they ate small portions, food in moderation and exercised as much as possible (exercise back in the old days was a long walk, a bike ride or simply dancing).
The one BIG noticeable similarity in most of the conversations was that they saw processed food and junk food as an AVOID food and sweet treats were on the majority homemade.
Alcohol... Well, that was just a little tipple nothing more.
However, in today's world, trying to live the simple life and avoiding bad foods and alcohol is difficult. Culture has changed, time has changed, life has changed and so has our diet.
What we can do, is take steps to help offset the damage caused by today’s world and start 'future proofing our bodies' so that we LIVE for today and DIE a lot older.
